Adjoining the leather panel is a hand forged, iron border which is garnished with intermittently hand tacked, hand forged, iron conchos. In each top corner above the padded front is a small, hand carved, oval alcove, with a lovely, hand carved shell in its center. The area between the alcoves is adorned with exquisite, hand carved, floral and scroll designs. The headboard is framed with luxurious, hand turned columns. The lower part of the columns have hand turned, fluted designs, and the upper part of the columns have hand turned, spiral designs. The headboard rest on square cut legs. The footboard is built into a bench, and the bench has a rectangular seat back. The face of the seat back is adorned with two, arched, geometric shaped, padded panels, and each panel is upholstered with matching, full grain leather. The leather is adorned with a marvelous, button tuft design, and all of the leather is hand tacked to the solid wood frame with ornate, gilt nails. Adjoining each leather panel is a hand forged, iron border, which is accented with intermittently hand tacked, hand forged, iron conchos. Above each panel are luxurious, hand carved, floral and scroll designs, and the panels are divided by a solid wood upright. The wide, rectangular seat is upholstered with matching, full grain leather, and the seat is accompanied with solid wood, scroll armrests. The bench has a front, curved apron, and centered in the apron is an oval design, surrounded by elegant, floral details. The bench rest on hand turned, tapered feet.
