The quality of the hand-carved details embellishing this solid wood settee is amazing. The entire upper portion of its seatback is enhanced with beautiful, carved, floral and scroll details. The seatback is adorned with two padded panels, and each panel is upholstered with radiant red, full grain leather. The upholstery is enriched with a marvelous, button tuft design. The sides of each panel have a forged iron border, and iron conchos enrich the border. The seat of the settee is well-padded and it is upholstered with matching, full grain leather. Accompanying the seat are elegant scrolled armrests. The upholstery is precision-tacked to the frame with gilt nails. Below the seat is a Spanish colonial style apron, and the entire apron is enhanced with carved floral and scroll details. The floral designs are repeated on the lateral sides of the settee.
