Both sides of the seatback are upholstered with lovely, patterned, full grain leather, and the padded seat is upholstered with rich, chocolate brown, full grain leather. The upholstery is precision-tacked to the solid wood frame with decorative gilt nails. Its base and its long cabriole style legs are also embellished with beautiful, carved, scroll and foliate designs. The legs have tapered feet, and they are joined by a midway “H” stretcher.
